Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie plan South Lakes holiday

BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly booked a boathouse near Windermere for a family holiday with their children Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
The story mimics one from 2003, when Brad travelled to the Lakes with his then partner, Friends star Jennifer Aniston.
A source told a national newspaper: “Angelina has to remain close to the UK because of her filming schedule for Maleficent.
“Originally, the film was supposed to be shooting close to the Lakes, but relocated to a more convenient spot close to Pinewood studios.
“They’d already booked a few days off though, and they didn’t want the kids to miss out on their trip up to the Lakes, so they decided to go anyway.
“Brad has rented out an entire boathouse, and the couple have been looking up some local restaurants to dine at whilst there.”
Ian Stephens Managing Director of Cumbria Tourism said: "If Brad and Angelina are keen to explore the real Lake District, Cumbria, during their intended stay with their family, the team at Cumbria Tourism would be more than happy to show them some of the area’s true hidden gems.
"We extend an open invitation to them to let us give them a real insider’s view of the very best of what our internationally acclaimed destination has to offer.
"With everything from remote tranquillity in Wasdale, stunning coastline and huge skies at Silecroft and Piel Island, inspiring views at Gummers Howe, Ashness Bridge and Sunny Bank, rugged beauty at Ullswater, high octane adventure at Grizedale and Honister, calm tranquillity in the Eden Valley, a wealth of history in Carlisle and the very best of locally sourced and produced food and drink from around the county. The Lake District, Cumbria has something for everyone and we would love to show the couple and their family our Lake District gems.."
