Brazen burglar robbed Windermere house in broad daylight
Published at 17:08, Tuesday, 11 September 2012
POLICE are hunting for a brazen burglar who robbed a Windermere house in broad daylight while its occupants were home.
The thief entered the residence in the Storrs Park area via an insecure front door between 10.30am and 11am on Saturday.
An amount of property from the hallway of the house was able to be taken without the owners being disturbed.
Police said that although burglaries are rare in Windermere, residents should take care to ensure their properties are secure.
Anyone with information about suspicious activity in the Storrs Park area is urged to contact PC Dave Barnes on 101.
