Veteran players urged to lace up boots

VETERAN rugby league players are being asked to spread their wings in a bid to spread the masters game.

RUGBY LEAGUE

Masters RL has proved a big success in South Cumbria with a series of festivals this year and organisers are now arranging fixtures between South Cumbria and West Cumbria.

The first match will take place in Barrow on the weekend of August 13 and 14, with a return match up the coast in September.

South Cumbria have also been allocated a place at a master festival in Sunderland on October 9, with organisers looking to put a team together to take part.

Any masters RL players interested in taking part should contact Shaun McPoland on 07720 849306, or Matt Jefferson via matt.jefferson@rfl.uk.com or 07775 022799.
