Directions: Just 15 minutes drive from the M6, 90 minutes from Manchester Airport and Leeds, while being equidistant from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Birmingham. Only 3.5 hours direct by train from London Euston, but once here you'll feel a million miles away from them all! By car: From jct 36 of the M6 follow the signs for the A590 Barrow and South Lakes, to Newby Bridge. Go straight on at the roundabout and take the next right over the bridge and follow this road for 1 mile. This will bring you to the hotel right on the shores of Lake Windermere. Or simply follow the brown and white visitor direction sign for 'Lakeside Cruises' from the M6.

Description: Venue for National Garden Scheme charity garden open day.
Directions: From Bowness turn onto A5074 signposted Kendal. After approximately 0.5 miles fork left into Windy Hall Road. Brackenrigg is on the left at the top of the road about 100yds before jct with B5284.
